I owed you some posts long time ago and I promised to some of my few faithful followers to do it ASAP, so here it goes:
I am kind of sad because the experience is over, actually everyone of the people that was with us in Odense is now missing this time, but I think that for me circumstances are a little bit different because even when I was really good there with all of you I missed one of the most important things in my life in this moments, my girlfriend. The Erasmus was perfect, probably better during the first semester but still a 12(Denmark, you know!) if we consider the whole year and still not enough for the reason I mentioned.
Anyway, two weeks after I left Denmark, I’m seeing all the things that happen to all of you and I want to be there again and share all with you. Maybe right now I realize that this feeling is getting bigger and bigger… who knows…
Last days in Odense weren’t as good as they supposed to be cause I was studying most of the time and I wasn’t at all at the places where the Bbq’s were or the ultimate last night at A-bar was celebrated and despite all of this they still were amazing days saying to everybody, the both famous and hopeless sentence, “when are you leaving?” At the very end it was even pointless because everyone was leaving soon and it’s very hard to say good bye.
Let’s talk about previous days I spent in Odense. Something to remember for long time it was Saint John’s Night, or Midsummer, because, as we do in our lovely country, they fire up some wood to celebrate the shortest night of the year, gathering a lot of people in a big esplanade around the biggest bonfire I ever seen. The pictures that comes with the text can illustrate better what I’m saying. Of course, it was the best place to meet with all the Erasmus people that remained in our city and to practice the best things we learn there: chat in English, drink beer and party a lot. I think that this party, that usually finish with some people running naked around the bonfire, it was the best end that an Erasmus year can have.
If I make another flashback it takes me to Aalborg city at the of May. They celebrated the biggest carnival I have been and one of the craziest party I showed. Thousands of people walking down the same street drinking, dancing and partying everywhere. An amazing party that I will remember forever and ever. Of course, it was almost as good as “vaquillas”, the party we celebrate past weekend in my home city but this is another story.
We were dressed up with a fancy handmade Scottish dress and our faces were painted as in the famous film “Braveheart”, “…they will never take our litroooo!!”, a little bit change it for the occasion.
The place is pretty far from our city about 3 hours and a half by train only to go out for one day but we make the most of it partying all they way long. We painted the face of each other while we drunk everything in we brought with us. Amazing train experience with a lot of friends from abroad although the most of the people were Spaniards and Italian.
To be continued…
